Fans of Amanresorts, aka Amanjunkies, will be poised to book into Amanresorts’ 24th property Amanruya, opening next month, in Turkey.
The location is everything, set within pine forests and olive groves in Mandala Bay on the Bodrum Peninsula.
Here, 36 stone cottages, decked out with local acajau wood and Turkish marble, have outdoor showers and courtyards with pools and views across the Aegean Sea. Public spaces include a three-storey library, a wine and cigar lounge and an art gallery.
For now there are two massage rooms (the spa will follow next year), a marble pool and a tennis court. A beach club with swimming pontoon lies just along from the resort.
If guests tire of all that minimal luxury, excursions can be arranged to the nearby classical sites of Didyma, Miletus, Priene and Ephesus.
From 800 per night for a Pool Terrace Cottage with transfers, amanresorts.com
